<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the flue gas desulfurization process of high desulfurization rate by spraying the mixture of desulfurizing agent and its dispersion medium in a desulfurization tower or in a flue to bring them into reaction with acidic harmful substances, and recovering the reaction products. CONSTITUTION:In the flue gas desulfurization process in which >=1 kind of oxides or hydroxides of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal are contained, the temp. of the flue gas from a boiler 1 is lowered by an air heater 2, and the gas is introduced into the desulsurization tower 3. The desulfurizing agent A supplied into a mixing unit 4 through a line 5 is mixed with coal ash B sent through a line 6 in the mixing unit 4, and allowed to react with the acidic harmful substances, such as SO2, in the flue gas. The reacted desulfurizing agent C is collected together with the ash in the flue gas by a dust collecting unit 8 to be abandoned. When the desulfurizing agent A is sprayed, it is possible that water is supplied from a line 9 into a flue 7 or into the desulfurization tower 3 to lower the temp. and to raise the humidity of the due gas to improve the desulfurization rate. By this method, a high desulfurization rate is obtained.</p> |
