METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING OF DATA

PURPOSE: To reduce an overhead for processing data packets by allowing transmission reception stations not to require recognition of a protocol to batch data packets altogether so as to assemble related data packets. CONSTITUTION: A reception station 100 receives a data packet from a communication link 102. A data packet processor 106 checks the header of a 1st data packet and prepares for transmission of the result to a DMA processor 110. Then a 2nd data packet is received and the header of the 2nd packet is checked. Before the 1st packet is sent to the processor 110, whether or not the 2nd packet and the 1st packet are to be grouped is decided. This is attained by using a profile obtained by checking the header of the received 1st packet. An important field of a succeeding packet is decided and the fields are used to form the prediction profile.
