PURPOSE:To prevent decoloring properties from deteriorating by improving coloring properties and resolution, by a method wherein a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium coloring by heating and melting and decoloring by heating at a temperature of not exceeding a coloring temperature and a heating element heating by impression of pulselike energy are moved relatively at the time of non-recording of an image and allowed to come to a standstill relatively at the time of recording of the image. CONSTITUTION:A reversible heat-sensitive recording medium 2 is constituted so that it is moved in the direction of an arrow by driving a platen 7 by a pulse motor by fixing a heating element 1 heating through impression of pulselike energy. Then a timing for driving the platen 7 and a timing for heating the heating element 1 by impressing pulselike energy to the heating element 1 are controlled, at the time of non-recording of an image, the recording medium 2 and heating element 1 are moved relatively, that is, only the recording medium is moved and at the time of recording of the image, both of them come to a standstill relatively, that is, a movement of the recording medium is stopped. Then it is taken as at least 0.5msec until the energy is impressed to the heating element 1 after the recording medium 2 and heating element 1 are stopped relatively. |
