PURPOSE: To obtain the subject powder in simple operations in an improved recovery rate at a low cost without separating a mother solution, by kneading an erythritol aqueous solution having a high purity and a high concentration, and subsequently subjecting the obtained solid product to a grinding treatment, etc. CONSTITUTION: An erythritol aqueous solution having a solid content of >=80%, preferably >=95%, and containing the erythritol in an amount of >=80%, preferably >=95%, in the solid contents is, if necessary, mixed with a seed crystal, and subsequently kneaded at a temperature of 85-145 deg.C at the kneading treatment-starting time. The obtained solid products are, if necessary, ground and dried to obtain the objective powder. |
