<p>PURPOSE: To remarkably improve desulfurizing effect in comparison with the conventional desufurizing agent by using the desulfurizing agent consisting essentially of magnesium alloy containing a specific ratio of aluminum for steel refining. CONSTITUTION: The desulfurizing agent for refining the steel consisting essentially of the magnesium alloy having 5-20wt.% aluminum content is used for the steel refining. Then, as this desulfurizing agent, the magnesium scrap melted slag, cutting powder and/or grinding waste are used and these are worked to have the outer diameter of about <=30mm. This desulfurizing agent is used in the refining of the steel and thereby, the desulfurizing effect can remarkably be improved.</p> |
