PURPOSE: A band knife cutter is provided to precisely cut an article horizontally regardless of the hardness of the plate type article. CONSTITUTION: A cutting blade is driven horizontally to cut a plate type article in a horizontal direction. A cutting unit(12) is comprised of an upper drawing roller unit and a compensative supporting roller unit. The upper drawing roller unit is arranged on a front part of the cutting blade to draw the article. The compensative supporting unit is arranged on a lower part of the upper drawing roller unit. A drawing roller is extended horizontally to draw the article in a cutting blade direction. A housing is prepared with an installation groove and opened downwardly to support the drawing roller. In addition, a lower end of the installation groove is arranged lower than the center of the drawing roller.
