PURPOSE: A method for controlling fan of invertor type heating/cooling apparatus is provided to enable a system of the heating/cooling apparatus to respond to various interior and exterior temperatures, such that the system does not experience overload. Also, the method is provided to enable the apparatus to perform a heating operation within a short time period, so that prompt heating sense can be provided to a user and, thus, comforts are improved. CONSTITUTION: In a method for controlling fan of invertor type heating/cooling apparatus, a surface temperature (or temperature of an indoor piping) is measured and stored before starting operation when a heating operation is started. After then, a compressor is operated and then an indoor fan is operated if the temperature of an indoor piping increases above a predetermined value or reaches to a set temperature. As a result, since the pressure of a condenser does not increase, electric current amount does not increase and, thus, the compressor is prevented from being stopped.
