PURPOSE: An automatic apparatus for mounting a cleat on a board of a box is provided to automatically shoot staples to the cleat for attaching the cleat on an outer surface of a box according to the type of the box. CONSTITUTION: An automatic apparatus for mounting a cleat on a board of a box includes a rectangle housing(10) defined into an intermediate part and a top surface part, a rail(24) mounted in the intermediate part of the housing for sliding movement of an object to and fro, a table(18) positioned on the rail for moving to and fro along the rail, a movable rod(16) positioned on the top surface part of the housing and mounted above the rail crossly, a movable main body(28) mounted on the movable rod to move right and left along the movable rod and mounted with a staple gun(12) at a lower part, a first air cylinder(26) mounted on the bottom surface of the table for pushing or pushing the table for the to and fro movement of the table, a position sensor mounted in the vicinity of the table in the intermediate part for sensing the position of the table, a second air cylinder for moving the staple gun vertically, a control part connected to the first and second air cylinders for controlling the operation of the cylinders and the staple gun according to a signal applied from an operation switch and the position sensor, an air supply part for supplying air to the air cylinders under the control of the control part, and an operation panel having a selection switch, an emergency switch, an operation displaying lamp, and a toggle switch.
