PURPOSE: A process of a polyester fiber by polymerizing using 2,2'-£oxybis(methylene)|bis(2-hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol as a new chain-brancher and properly controlling the position and temperature of a heating apparatus and the take-up speed is provided, which produces a polyester having excellent physical properties such as strength and elongation with excellent drawability. CONSTITUTION: In a process for manufacturing a polyester drawn yarn by heating a polyester copolymer directly under the spinneret, extruding, cooling and drawing, the process comprises the steps of copolymerizing with 0.01 to 0.3% by weight of 2,2'-£oxybis(methylene)|bis(2-hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol, placing a heating apparatus at 100 to 200deg.C at a position 600 to 1,500mm directly under the spinneret and withdrawing at a speed of 5,500 to 6,500m/min.
