PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder leather which keeps a tone quality of excellent sound and the durability and, at the same time, enables to enhance the designability of a Japanese drum. SOLUTION: In this cylinder leather of Japanese drum which is spread and covered on a drum cylinder by using hide or leather as raw material, the dyeing is performed by infiltrating dyestuff into at least surface layer and back layer of all surface or one part of the hide or leather.
