PURPOSE: An energy recovery device and a method for the same are provided to boost the energy by using an inductor and to supply the boosted energy to which a sustain voltage is add to a panel, whereby the panel capacitor rises to the sustain voltage in a short time. CONSTITUTION: An energy recovery device includes a charge circuit(Cs), a sustain voltage source(Vs) and a plurality of switches(S3,S4). The charge circuit(Cs) charges an energy to an inductor(L). The sustain voltage source(Vs) is supplied to the inductor(L) when the reversed energy is generated. And, the plurality of switches(S3,S4) is installed between the capacitive loads equivalently formed in the charge circuit and the discharge cell. |
