PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the kind of the raw material and the synthetic method of synthetic zeolite are limited and the price of the synthetic zeolite is high although the zeolite is expected to be useful in various applications; and to develop a method for producing high quality, uniform and inexpensive artificial zeolite by using, as raw materials, unused resources such as fallen volcanic ejecta, incineration ash, waste glass, waste diatomite, or aluminum dross. SOLUTION: The method for producing the artificial zeolite comprises subjecting inorganic components containing silicic acid and aluminum to heat treatment and ultrasonic wave treatment in an alkaline solution. Or the method for producing the artificial zeolite comprises subjecting a mixture, obtained by adding one or more kinds of glass, diatomite, and aluminum dross to the inorganic components containing silicic acid and aluminum, to heat treatment and ultrasonic wave treatment in an alkaline solution.
