<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing property of a sealing member for reaction gas seal in a molten carbonate fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In the molten carbonate fuel cell including a first cell 11 consisting of an anode 12; a cathode 13; an electrolyte plate 14 held between the anode 12 and the cathode 13; separator 21 and 22 holding the first cell 11 therebetween; and internal manifolds 21a and 22a as a hole penetrating in the thickness direction of the separators 21 and 22 so as to form a passage for the reaction gas provided to the first cell 11, the gas seal structure of the internal manifolds 21a and 22a through which the reaction gas passes is constructed of a first seal member 31 made of non-porous insulative ceramic for connecting the internal manifolds 21a and 22a between the separators 21 and 22, and the first seal member 31 mechanically contacts with the separators 21 and 22, but is not adhered thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
