A double-headed piston type compressor is provided to maintain the lubrication property of a shaft sealing unit. In a double-headed piston type compressor, a shaft sealing unit(22) for preventing leakage on the peripheral surface of a rotational shaft(21) is accommodated in an accommodation chamber(13b) formed in a front housing(13). A supply passage(21a) is formed in the rotational shaft. A suction chamber and an introduction passage are communicated by the supply passage. A communication passage(46) communicating the accommodation chamber with an inclined plate chamber is formed in a cylinder block(11) and the front housing. A communication recess(40) communicating the introduction passage and the accommodation chamber is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotational shaft. The supply passage and the inclined plate chamber are communicated with each other by the communication passage and the communication recess.
