PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away tip, preventing a back chip and chipping of a cutting blade on both surfaces, and obtaining a smooth finished surface. SOLUTION: This both-sided throw-away tip includes a substantially plate-like tip body, wherein two principal surfaces of the tip body serve as a cutting face and a seating face, the side servers as a flank, and the cutting blade is provided at the intersection of both principal surfaces and the flank. Each principal surface includes a land connected to the cutting blade, a first projecting part extended toward the corner of each principal surface and a second projecting part extended toward a space between the corner to which the first projecting part is directed and an adjacent corner at the peripheral edge part, the land surface and the top faces of the first projecting part and the second projecting part have the same height, and the cutting blade is lower than the land surface and the top faces of the first projecting part and the second projecting part.
