PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus which can effectively remove by an absorber a liquid stuck on the tip face of a wiper blade after sliding on and scraping a nozzle formation face, and can suppress a decrease of the absorbing capability caused by the fact that meshes of the absorber are broken. SOLUTION: The liquid jetting apparatus comprises a liquid jetting head 10 which jets liquid droplets from nozzles, the wiper blade 32 which has elasticity and slides on and scrapes the nozzle formation face by coming into contact with and moving relatively to the nozzle formation face of the liquid jetting head 10, the absorber 33 which absorbs the liquid stuck to the tip face by coming into contact with the nozzle forming face from a direction opposite to the tip face of the wiper blade 32 after the wiper blade sliding on and scrapes the nozzle formation face, a wiper blade moving means which moves the position of the wiper blade 32 to a cleaning position where the tip face can come into contact with the absorber 33 and to a non-cleaning position where the tip face is refrained from coming into contact with the absorber, and a control means which controls the wiper blade moving means to move the wiper blade 32 to the non-cleaning position after the absorber 33 comes into contact with the tip face of the wiper blade 32.
