WORKPIECE TRANSPORTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece transporting apparatus which has simplified constitution while assuring smooth and proper operation. SOLUTION: The workpiece transporting apparatus 10 has: a pair of arm units 15 which are supported with a base body arranged in proper places between press stages and each have a plurality of arms connected to each other rotatably; a workpiece clamping mechanism which is mounted between the distal ends of the respective arm units; and a lifting and lowering mechanism for lifting and lowering the pair of the arm units 15 relative to the base body, and the workpiece held with the workpiece clamping mechanisms is transported between the press stages by the operation of the arm units. The each arm unit has a slide arm 25 with which the distal ends of the respective arm units are joined slidably each other and the workpiece clamping mechanism is supported through the slide arm 25.
