The invention relates to a novel method for producing sterile suspensions or lyophilisates of poorly soluble peptide complexes such as cetrorelix embonate. The invention also relates to sterile suspensions and sterile lyophilisates of poorly soluble basic peptide complexes, and to pharmaceutical formulations containing the same. Said formulations are especially suitable for using as medicaments for the treatment and prophylaxis of diseases and pathological conditions in mammals, especially humans, by parenteral administration.
