PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the actuation of a brake booster when the braking operation amount of a driver is not larger than a reference value, and to prevent the actuation of a brake hydraulic pressure servo means when the braking operation amount is larger than the reference value, and to reduce a risk of an abrupt change of a braking force when the braking operation amount increases and decreases exceeding the reference value. SOLUTION: The braking device of the vehicle has the brake booster 54 provided between a brake pedal 44 and a master cylinder 52, and a hydraulic servo device 76 generating a braking force by controlling wheel cylinder pressure. When a stroke S of the brake pedal 44 is not larger than a tread force transmission starting stroke Ss, the hydraulic servo device 78 is controlled without actuating the brake booster 54, thereby generating the braking force corresponding to the stroke S. When the stroke S is larger than the tread force transmission starting stroke Ss, the brake booster 54 is actuated without actuating the hydraulic servo device 76, thereby generating the braking force corresponding to the stroke S.
