PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gamma correcting circuit in which the local variations of a gamma curve can be reduced. SOLUTION: The gamma correction circuit is equipped with a gamma reference voltage generating circuit 1, a gamma correction voltage generating circuit 2, a buffer 3, switches SW1, SW2, SW3, and a switch control circuit 6. A pair of gamma reference voltages are made outputtable from symmetric positions of the gamma reference voltage generating circuit 1 and the gamma reference voltages outputted from the two points of the symmetric positions are selected alternately and supplied to the gamma correction voltage generating circuit 2 and thereby the resistance variation components included in the gamma reference voltage can be offset and the gamma curve obtained in the final can be approximated.
