摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing EGR gas from being excessively supplied to the internal combustion engine due to recirculation delay of low pressure EGR gas, thereby preventing misfire of the internal combustion engine while suppressing an increase in emission of unburned HC, in a control device for an internal combustion engine including a high pressure EGR system and a low pressure EGR system. SOLUTION: When the operating condition of the internal combustion engine 1 shifts from a region LPL or a region MIX to a region HPL, during a recirculation delay periodΔtd in which the recirculation delay of the low pressure EGR gas occurs, a valve closing timing of an exhaust valve is delayed atΔVTe as compared with a normal operating condition so as to increase an amount GI of internal EGR gas and a high pressure EGR gas amount GH is maintained at a recirculation delay period high pressure side target value GHtd that is lower than a high pressure side target value GHt in the region HPL (S106 to S109).
