PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter capable of improving vibration resistance of a through bolt 3 fixing a motor on a front housing and of avoiding interference with an engine block 8. SOLUTION: Three through bolts 3 fixing the motor on the front housing are a through bolt 3A arranged inside of a yoke and two through bolts 3B arranged outside of the yoke, and are arranged at roughly constant interval in a circumference direction. The through bolt 3A arranged inside of the yoke is arranged in a radial direction engine block 8 side of the motor, and the two through bolts 3B arranged outside of the yoke are arranged in a radial direction anti-engine block side of the motor 4. The two through bolts 3B arranged outside of the yoke have bolt diameter one size or more larger in JIS standard than the through bolt 3A arranged inside of the yoke. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
