PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane compound and a multi-branched type urethane compound stepwise extending the generation in the same reaction vessel and to provide a method for producing the compound. SOLUTION: The multi-branched type urethane compound is composed of repeating branch units having two urethane bonds through an amino group, represented by general formula (1) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom and/or a 1-6C alkyl group and a substituted alkyl group; X is an organic residue having an oxygen atom derived from a hydroxy group; Y is a divalent or a higher valent organic residue (wherein, m is≥1); and two marks * indicate that the bonds are linked].
