PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor in which over-compression loss in both an A chamber and a B chamber can be effectively suppressed.SOLUTION: The scroll compressor comprises a fixed scroll 40 having a fixed side end plate 41 and a fixed side wrap 42, and a movable scroll 50 having a movable side end plate 51 and a movable side wrap 52. Both wraps form a first compression chamber 80 enclosed by the outer circumferential surface 52a of the movable side wrap and the inner circumferential surface 42b of the fixed side wrap, and a second compression chamber 90 enclosed by the inner circumferential surface 52b of the movable side wrap and the outer circumferential surface 42a of the fixed side wrap. There formed in the fixed side end plate, a discharge port 41c and a relief hole 47 that is common to the first and second compression chambers and communicates with each of the first and second compression chambers for a predetermined period. A recessed portion 56 is formed in the front surface 51a of the movable side end plate for causing the second compression chamber to communicate with the discharge port. The second compression chamber stage after a compression stage and the discharge port communicate with each other via gap between the front end 42c of the fixed side warp and the recessed portion before communicating with each other via a side gap between the wraps.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
