The present invention relates to a water guard for a hot and cold water dispenser and, more specifically, to a water guard for a hot and cold water dispenser, capable of preventing water from overflowing from a storage tank as the temperature of the water in a water bottle rises due to a convection current of the water and air flowing in the storage tank and the water bottle. According to the present invention, one side of the water guard is inserted into the water bottle of a hot and cold water dispenser, and the other side is inserted into the storage tank of the hot and cold water dispenser in which the water of the water bottle is stored so that the water flows from the water bottle to the storage tank. The water guard has: a first path having a first inlet on one side and a first outlet on the other side, wherein the first inlet is connected to the first outlet so that the water flows from the water bottle to the storage tank; and a second path having a second inlet on one side and a second outlet on the other side, wherein the second inlet is connected to the second outlet and the second path is separated from the first path so that the air is discharged from the storage tank to the water bottle. According to the present invention, the water guard has the first path and the second path separated from each other. So, the water flows into the storage tank through the first path, and the air flows into the water bottle through the second path. Therefore, the water guard for a hot and cold water dispenser can prevent the convection current of the water and the air. So, the water guard for a hot and cold water dispenser can maintain a fixed temperature of the water in the water bottle. |
