The present invention relates to a wind power generator. More specifically, the present invention relates to the wind power generator capable of controlling a position of a rotor forming the wind power generator, and a method for controlling a position of a rotor of the wind power generator. More specifically, the present invention enables a marker to be provided to a rotor and enables a sensing unit sensing the marker to be provided to a stator. Therefore, the present invention can control the position of the rotor itself as compared to the prior art that the position of the rotor is controlled by manpower.
