Disclosed is an apparatus and method for sensing the opening of a current interrupt device (CID) of a battery unit. The apparatus for sensing the opening of a current interrupt device of a battery unit according to the present invention comprises: a setting unit for setting a predetermined voltage interval when one or more battery units start to be discharged; a measurement unit for measuring a voltage interval passage time, corresponding to a time interval for which the one or more battery units pass the predetermined voltage interval, for each battery unit; and a detection unit for detecting a battery unit, of which a current interrupt device is opened, from among the one or more battery units on the basis of the voltage interval passage time according to each battery unit, and detecting the number of battery cells, of which the current interrupt device is opened, among one or more battery cells included in the battery unit of which the current interrupt device is opened. |
