This polymer cannula is provided with: a centrally disposed rod-shaped inner conductor; a rigid insulating tube formed integrally at the outer periphery of the inner conductor; a shielding fitting embedded in the insulating tube, concentrically with the inner conductor; a polymer-coated body comprising a body portion covering the outer periphery of the insulating tube, and a plurality of umbrella-shaped lamellae formed separated from one another in the longitudinal direction on the outer periphery of the body portion; and an electric field mitigating layer which is formed from a layer of zinc oxide or a high dielectric-constant layer, is disposed at the interface between the insulating tube and the polymer-coated body, and a rear end portion of which is connected to the shielding fitting. The polymer cannula is characterized in that the body portion includes: a first body portion having a uniform thickness; and a second body portion which is located in the vicinity of a distal end portion of the electric field mitigating layer, and which has a greater thickness than the first body portion.
