The present invention relates to a low noise hair dryer comprising: a hollow housing having an outlet formed therein, having an inlet formed therein, and having a handle formed in a lower side thereof; a heat wire installed inside of the outlet of the housing, and heating air by being provided with electricity; a ventilating fan installed in the housing, and mounted to suction and transfer external air toward the heat wire; a controller disposed to apply electrical power to the heat wire and control a motor; a motor having a rotor connected with an axis thereof, wherein the rotor is rotated to generate driving power; and a transmission connected between the motor and the ventilating fan, increasing the number of rotations of the motor, and transferring the same to the ventilating fan. Although a motor of a hair drier having a transmission is rotated at a rotation speed which is 1/1.5-1/10 lower than that of a motor of a convention hair drier having the same wind speed, a ventilating fan can be rotated at the same speed as that of the conventional hair drier, so a noise problem can be resolved without reducing a wind speed. |
