发明名称 NEW MICROORGANISM OF LABYRINTHULA GROUP HAVING HIGH PRODUCTIVITY OF DOCOSAHEXAENOIC ACID (DHA), AND UTILIZATION THEREOF
摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism of the Labyrinthula group having a new property different from the conventional one, and utilizable as a supply source of DHA in a shape different from the conventional one; and to provide a typical utilization technique thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The new microorganism has a producing ability of the docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and is a new microorganism of the Labyrinthula group which is thraustochytrid strain 12B of accession number NITE P-68. The strain 12B is considered as a new kind not belonging to any known genus because of having morphologic and physiological properties, and the base sequence of 18S rRNA gene, different from those of a known strain.
