The present invention relates to a water soluble polyimide precursor for a binder of a secondary battery, to a composition thereof, to a method to manufacture the water soluble polyimide precursor, and to a binder comprising the water soluble polyimide precursor for a secondary battery. More particularly, the water soluble polyimide precursor can use water as a solvent, and can be used to manufacture a binder having excellent flexibility, adhesive properties, and thermal resistance for a secondary battery. The water soluble polyimide precursor comprises a copolymer including a repeat unit represented by chemical formula 1, and has 8-15 wt% of solid content. Also, the polyimide precursor has viscosity of 75,000-152,000 cps at 25C. |
