<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outside door handle device which protects waterproofing members thereof from being drenched to a possible extent without additionally providing a water-shield plate. <P>SOLUTION: The outside door handle device 1 is formed of: an escutcheon 3 which is arranged on a door panel 2, and has arm insertion holes 10, 11 formed in an upper portion thereof and the waterproofing members such as a latch member 6 and a key cylinder, mounted on a lower portion thereof; a door handle which is rockably supported by the escutcheon 3, has a rockable arm portion 4b thereof inserted into an inner surface of the door panel via the arm insertion hole, and is rockably operable by the operator on the outside of the door panel; and an end cover 5 arranged on an inner surface of the escutcheon 3 so as to cover the same. Herein the outside door handle device has a water drain port 16 formed on the end cover 5 at a location opposed to the arm insertion hole 10, for draining water infiltrated inside the escutcheon 3 so as to protect the waterproofing members. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
