<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for managing content sharing, enabling reproduction of a copyright-protected content in only a permitted number of content reproduction devices while enabling copying of the copyright-protected content by a plurality of content reproduction devices. <P>SOLUTION: The copyright-protected content is copied and stored in the plurality of content reproduction devices. When the copyright-protected content is reproduced in each content reproduction device, a reproduction request is transmitted to a content management device having a content management table, and the content management device transmits, when the content is reproducible in reference to the content management table, a reproduction permission report to enable the reproduction of the content in the content reproduction device concerned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
