The invention relates to an installation and a process for preparing mushroom farm compost. According to the invention, the installation is a staggered construction comprising a pre-soaking basin (3) for cereal stalks or ligno-cellulosic material, aerobic and anaerobic composting platforms (4 and 5), respectively, some pasteurization chambers (14) and temperature control means. According to the invention, the process consists in pre-soaking the starting material to be subjected to anaerobic composting in three stages, followed by aerobic composting in four stages while applying usual treatments, and, finally, the compost being subjected to continuous pasteurization with pressurized steam, at a temperature of 50...58°C, for 10...24 h. |
