<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress that the battery cells located in the vicinity of both ends of the fuel cell become lower in temperature than the other battery cells, without using the electric energy of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell 10 having a plurality of laminated fuel battery cells 100 which generate electric energy by reacting oxidant gas and fuel gas electrochemically and supply electric power to power consuming equipment and current collectors 101, 102 which are provided at both outside of the plurality of the fuel battery cells 100, and warming-up battery cells 105, 106 which are provided at both outside of the current collectors 101, 102.
