摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst composition useful as a low-cost solid catalyst having a high activity with respect to a carbon-carbon bond forming reaction, deuterium exchange reaction, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst composition comprises a metal vanadate apatite yielded by causing a vanadate (A) to react with a metal salt (B). The metal vanadate apatite comprises a chemical compound represented by the following formula (I): M<SB>10-z</SB>(HVO<SB>4</SB>)<SB>z</SB>(VO<SB>4</SB>)<SB>6-z</SB>(OH)<SB>2-z</SB>wherein M represents a metal element and z is equal to or greater than zero and equal to or smaller than 1. An example of the metal vanadate apatite includes calcium vanadate apatite. The catalyst composition comprising the metal vanadate apatite can suitably be used for Michael reaction, Knoevenagel reaction, Henry reaction, Aldol reaction, Diels-Alder reaction, a deuterium exchange reaction, and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
