Modular resin bonded concrete panels for a tennis practice wall - for good weather resistance, high strength and low resonance

A concave reflective wall for practicing tennis is made from modular panels of resin-bonded concrete using high frequency vibration and having a superficial coating of resin on the playing surface bonded to the matrix resin. Pref. the superficial resin is of polyacrylic or polyester resin 1-4 mm thick and is pigmented. More weather resistant than plain or painted wooden panels, or panels of expanded polyurethane covered with glass fibre reinforced resin, less resonant than water based concrete and can be thinner and lighter for equivalent strength. Pref. the resin content of the concrete is greater than 8%, pref. about 10% of total wt. Panels may be fabricated back to back and stiffened with anterior ribs, pref. separately cast and assembled with an interfacial (wax) lubricant. A guard panel may project above the top of the panels.
