A device for testing the weight of vehicle wheels or vehicle axles for brake test stands is proposed which is used to measure the axle load of a vehicle. The device comprises a weighing channel (12) which acts via a lever system on a pressure-measuring device (8) which also serves for determining the braking torque. The weighing channel (12) is mounted in the vicinity of one of the test stand rollers (5). It is possible by means of this device to measure braking torque and axle load successively, so that decelerations that are comparable from vehicle to vehicle can be obtained, since the braking torque of a wheel is to be related to the wheel load or to the axle load. <IMAGE>
