<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst layer for a fuel cell which can be considered as an appropriate structure according to a place for every part of the catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst layer for the fuel cell includes a first polyelectrolyte coating carbon in which a hydrophilized catalyst carrying carbon is covered with a polyelectrolyte having first hydrophilizing characteristics, and a second polyelectrolyte coating carbon in which the hydrophilized catalyst carrying carbon is covered with a polyelectrolyte having second hydrophilizing characteristics having lower hydrophilizing characteristics than the first hydrophylizing characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
