摘要	<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for an inkjet recording medium which does not generate crazing in a coating layer after drying, even when it is rapidly dried and also has a long pot life, and an inkjet recording medium using the coating composition. <P>SOLUTION: In this coating composition for the inkjet recording medium, an inorganic pigment with not more than 1 μm average particle diameter, a polyvinyl alcohol, a borate and a specific amount of a volatile acid are added.
