Oxidation hair dyes based on known developer components, e.g. p-phenylenediamine derivatives, p-aminophenols or 2,4,5,6-tetraaminopyrimidine, contain as coupler 2,4-dichloro-3-acetylaminophenol. The shades generated thereby are predominantly in the blue range and display good fastness properties.
