A moulding press is proposed, the upper thrust piece (11) and lower thrust piece (12) of which are designed mirror-symmetrically with respect to the parting plane (6) of a mould (5) located between the thrust pieces (11, 12). The two thrust pieces (11, 12) are supported on oppositely directed bearing attachments (13, 14), as a result of which, when moulding pressure is applied, the bending profiles (19, 20) in the thrust pieces likewise run mirror-symmetrically with respect to the parting plane (6). In this way, such a distribution of forces in the parting plane (6) is achieved that the mould (5) closes reliably even when there is high moulding pressure. <IMAGE>
