<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of appropriately controlling a driving power source even when an abnormal current is caused. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises; the driving power source for generating driving voltage supplied to an engine part; an FET 81 provided between the engine part and the driving power source and switching whether or not the driving power source is applied to a driving part; a detection part 110 detecting the variation of the driving voltage; and an FET control part 120 controlling whether the FET 81 is turned on or off in accordance with the variation of the driving voltage detected by the detection part 110.
