<p>PURPOSE:To improve reproduced sound quality and picture quality by a method wherein a substrate is constituted in such a manner that its end faces are not coated with resistor material layer and that insulating material is exposed at the end faces. CONSTITUTION:A film layer 12, consisting of a resistor material, is provided on a resistor 10, and the film layer 12 is arranged in such a manner that it is formed only on the outer circumferential face of a substrate 11 and that the layer 12 is not present on both end faces 11A and 11B in axial direction of the substrate 11. In other words, since no resistance material film layer is present on the end face of the substrate, undesirable eddy current to be induced on the end face of the substrate, when an audio/video signal current is applied onto the resistor, can be prevented or suppressed effectively. As a result, high fidelity and sharpness of reproduced picture and sound quality can be improved remarkably.</p> |
