PURPOSE:To obtain a high density green sheet by mixing molding materials including ceramic powder, adding a solvent, kneading them at a specified viscosity, further adding a solvent and applying the resultant low viscosity slurry on a plastic film. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic powder of Al2O3, etc., having <=1mum average particle diameter, powder of an additive such as MgO and a binder such as PVA are charged by a prescribed amt. each into the kneading vessel of a kneader such as a planetary mixer' and they are mixed. A methyl ethyl ketone-toluene mixed solvent is slowly added to the resultant mixture to form flocculated lumps and kneading is continued at >=1,000Pa.s viscosity for about 30min. A mixed solvent and a plasticizer are then slowly added to form a slurry having <=50Pa.s viscosity by dilution. This slurry is defoamed by dispersion treatment with a ball mill, etc., and it is applied on a plastic film of polyethylene terephthalate, etc., subjected to releasing treatment by a doctor blade method or other method. After drying the objective high density ceramic green sheet having a prescribed thickness and satisfactory surface properties is obtd. |
