PURPOSE: To obtain the stable rotation of a motor by a method wherein various lengths of current-off periods are employed. CONSTITUTION: If a current-off period timer counter circuit 2 is provided together with a logic circuit peripheral circuit 10 such as a gate array, the size of the circuit can be reduced and, further, many current off periods can be provided by the timer counter circuit. By employing those many current-off periods, a printer in which one motor is required to operate many functions so as to cope with the load fluctuation caused by a plurality of pulse rates and operation environments can be operated efficiently. |
