<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell for securing sealability of a gas flow path by using a thin-plate type separator. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) 2 in which an electrolyte membrane is arranged between an anode side electrode and a cathode side electrode; each gas flow path introducing a fuel gas and an oxidant gas, respectively, along with the MEA 2; a pair of separators 3 partitioning the respective gas flow paths; manifolds penetrating the MEA 2 and respective separators 3 to introduce the fuel gas and the oxidant gas, respectively; and each manifold communicating path 13 demarcated between the MEA 2 and the respective separators 3 to introduce the fuel gas and the oxidant gas, respectively. Seal reaction force receiving members 20 contacting with each separator 3 and MEA 2 are interposed in the respective manifold communication paths 13, and the receiving members 20 supports seal reaction force applied to the respective separators 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
