The ventilator has a semi-axial impeller (1) for operation at gas temperatures above 300 deg C and to generate gas turbulence. The impeller is enclosed directly by a 90 deg deflector, which guides the volume flow from the impeller radially away from the impeller axis. The impeller preferably has a conical hub (2) and a body (8) of at least one truncated cones (9,10), whose base surface faces away from the impeller.
