The road joint (10) has an auxiliary construction (12), which is supported on at least one building part and moves against another building part. The auxiliary construction is arranged underneath the sealing plane of the building parts and can collect and drain water. The road or joint bands (14,16) next to the auxiliary construction are suspending on an elastic material, which is partially stiffened.
