摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of the profile of a spline so as not to produce unreasonable deformation in the spline of a center hole of a hub wheel after a crimping process. SOLUTION: In the cylinder-shaped hub wheel 1 forming a flange 11 arranged radially outward in the middle of an axial direction and the spline S on the inner peripheral surface H in the center hole, an axle bearing device performs fitting of a bearing 2 and giving axial force to the bearing 2 by crimping works, i.e., bending and pushing one shaft end of the hub wheel 1 outwards in a radial direction to the end face of an inner ring 24 of the bearing 2 in a state where the rolling bearing 2 is externally fitted in a range of the outer peripheral surface of one side of the flange 11. After shrunken processing of the diameter of the end portion in a crimped side is performed and before the spline S in the inner peripheral surface H of the center hole of the hub wheel 1 is forming, the spline S is formed so that a groove along the inner peripheral surface of the center hole in an axial direction included the crimped portion is also arranged together in a peripheral direction. Further, the crimping works are performed while the bearing 2 is externally fitted.</p>
